Virgin Attempts at Salmon and Chard

Tonight I made salmon and chard for the first time. I had never even eaten chard before so I was glad it turned out well. I used this salmon recipe, cooked the chard with garlic and EVOO, and added some mashed new potatoes with green onions. I was super proud. And it looks so pretty on our china!

Super! That looks lovely! Was there a special occasion? Or just breaking out the china for fun? (which I totally support!!) Way to go!!

Essentially just breaking out the china for fun. We don't use it for leftovers, but often if I cook something that requires a recipe we pull it out. It adds a lovely sense of occasion to the family dinner.

Chard is so difficult to cook without it tasting bitter. What did you do to it? Last time we had it, we sauteed it with some zucchini and mushrooms and it was okay.

That meal looks so yummy!

I just sauteed it with garlic and EVOO. I've never eaten chard before so I don't really know what it should taste like, but it was alright. The other two items turned out much better, but if Lee ate it it couldn't have been that bad!
