Etsy Shop Preview

I have been diligently working on getting stuff ready for my Etsy shop which should open soon-ish. Well, it exists but there's nothing there to buy.

I still want to get some more cards designed and I need to write store policies and all that, but here are a few cards I made yesterday.

I think I might try some different color combinations for this one, and I might offer color options for all of them.

Chevron makes me happy.

The logo and websites are on the back of everything.

Feel free to share any suggestions or general feedback!

Or actually that should be how much is it going to be if it's just a preview lol.

How much is shipping to the UK?

I'll let you know! I really don't even know what it will be in the US yet, but I'll be figuring that out soon.

Tip from a fellow "etsian" - a great way to get your shop out there is to be featured in treasuries. I make treasuries for a non-team challenge (www.treasurychallengenonteam.blogspot.com), and always choose items to feature based on how clever or attractive the photo of the item is.

Your stationery is ADORABLE, but don't overlook the importance of interesting and attractive presentation in the item thumbnail - you may be featured by someone who isn't necessarily looking for stationery to purchase, then clicked on because of that - tagging "overly-descriptively" also helps for this purpose, as I search on phrases or moods as well!

Click here for some of my recent treasuries - once your shop is really up and running, I can feature you too!

OK, finally talked to my sister for the rest of the tips - when you're setting up your shop, go to craftopolis and get it hooked in with google analytics. She also suggested reading the forums for tips, and if you have any other questions she is always happy to help new etsians. Her shop is demossdesigns.

You're gonna kick etsy ass!

Thanks! It's ridiculous how much time I spent agonizing over something so simple, but I'm happy with it finally!

Thanks Steph Anne!

Thanks so much for all the tips Tricia! I am very much aware of my current photo situation and have plans to work on that before posting to the shop. I've been meaning to do this 30 days to a better photo challenge, but day 2 was to read your manual and my manual is about 180 pages so I've been procrastinating. Perhaps I should just skip to day 3. ;) I also blame the lack of proper sunshine, but whatever. I'll definitely let your sister know if I have any questions. Etsy can be much trickier than it seems! (Store policies, international shipping, sales tax. At least I've got that last one figured out.)
